The river Piave starts in the Dolomites and ends in the Adriatic sea
traversing the provinces of Treviso andVenezia.
It is a known fact that grapes
used in the making of wine have been grown in this area for over 3000 years and
Malanotte is an evolution of centuries of trail and error, knowledge handed down
from one generation to the next of the Bonotto family
Malanotte is limited to just 2000 to 3000 bottles per year and is sold on allocation
in wooden cases of 6.
Characteristics of the land
Harvest takes place in late autumn when the first sign of snow can been seen

It takes 3 years to make Malanotte and up to 30% of the grapes undergo
appasimento, an ancient tecnique of drying out the grapes on straw mats

stainless steel and then aged in oak barrels. It is then bottled and further aged
in the bottle for 8 months before it is ready to be drunk.
