Company  The nucleous of “Bonotto delle Tezze” is well represented by its courtyard. It is the typical “cortivo” of the 15th century countryside, composed of a double line of buildings which include wine cellars, stables, the well and the dove-coat which still today are in the seat of the firm in the historical centre of Tezze.The children who are playing today in this courtyard will be tomorrow’s protagonists on this long journey. In this courtyard friends and clients meet and as centuries ago carts arrive full of grapes for pressing. The wine cellar is in an ancient two storey building called the “barchessa”. The top floor, once a granary, is now used to dry grapes. In the two rooms downstairs are old vats for wine affination. Next to this building a modern wine cellar designed by the architect Toni Follina of Treviso is being built.  The possibility of making and affining wine in ideal conditions to safeguard the potential of the grapes is starting to take shape. The territory in which the wines are cultivated is characterized by an incredible variety of soils so close together but so different. The enological objective, in this phase, is to get the best out of each single wine, so that we can obtain more information from our vineyards, on the varieties and clones that we use in our winemaking. The guided visits and the wine tasting that we organise in our firm are a fundamental step in our professional and cultural growth. |
