About Carmenere
Originaly from the Merdoc region of Bordeaux, Carmenere is a member of the Cabernet family of grapes, this grape is also known as Grande Vidure. It favours a long growing season in warm climates, it developes high levels of sugar before the tannins achieve ripeness.

Characteristics of the land
Barabane is the name of the vines at our vineyards in Tezze. Located in theVeneto region of North East Italy, on the banks of the Piave river, Barabane benefits from the minerals washed down from the Dolomites. Harvest is around beginning of October. Total yield per hectar is approxematly 90 Q/HA

Winemaking
Fermented with its skins for up to 20 days in stainless steel vats and then for a further 2 years in Slovenian oak. It is then further aged in the bottle for a perion of 4 – 6 months.

Alcohol:  13 % by vol
Total Acidity: 5.6
PH: 3.60
Residual Sugar: 4.5 gr per liter

Tasting Notes
This Carmenere has a bouquet of freshly cut grass, peppers and chili.

Serving Suggestions
Best served with red meats, roasts as well as chilli and Indian foods. Best left to breath for 30 minutes before serving.
Serving temperature 18 – 20° C.
